“There has clearly been a tremendous response from the hedge fund industry in Cayman to establish this Chapter and I am delighted to represent you, the Cayman Islands members of AIMA, as your spokesperson and liaison with the AIMA Council and the AIMA office in London.  AIMA, now has over 1000 members in countries all around the globe.  AIMA has also made it possible for independent directors to join as individual members and I am hoping more of our independent directors will take advantage of this special provision. In Cayman, our membership had over 40 members from many different areas of the industry within a few months of the launch. The membership continues to grow. We are now one of only 7 Regional Chapters globally – out of a corporate membership of over 1,000, that is a significant accomplishment and you are all to be congratulated for coming together in such a short time span, in support of this initiative!”
